Single Dose Whole Beans

Whole bean, protected until you grind it
Whole bean is the traditional answer to freshness, and for good reason: keeping coffee intact slows down oxidation far better than grinding it ahead of time. Once ground, coffee's surface area increases dramatically, and with it, the rate at which it ages.
Each Rivera Coffee whole bean single-portion is vacuum sealed at its peak window after roasting. So instead of a bag that gets opened and closed daily, losing a little more aroma each time, you get individual portions that stay sealed until the moment you're ready to grind.
Grind it your way
Because each portion is measured and sealed on its own, you decide the grind, the brew method, and the timing, whether that's a V60 tomorrow morning or an AeroPress next weekend. Nothing sits exposed to air in between.
A useful extra: freezing
If you want to push freshness even further, the sealed portions freeze well, and there's a nice side benefit to grinding straight from frozen: cold beans are more brittle, so they fracture cleanly rather than tearing, giving a more even grind. This is backed by published research on grinding temperature and particle size, and it's part of why some specialty roasters grind straight from frozen rather than letting beans warm up first. No need to thaw, just grind and brew. If you're saving a portion for later instead, let it come back to room temperature before opening, so condensation doesn't form on the beans.
